Their Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made the old fashioned way with every batch made by hand using locally grown grain and corn from Texas family owned farms. Stop by the Whiskey Shack for flavor-packed bites – a delicious, seasonal menu that features everything from homemade biscuits made from the actual sweet mash used in our award-winning bourbon to the always reliable “meat on stick” options. But don’t forget about the bourbon cocktails. Depending on what kind of mood you’re in, you can order up a classic Old Fashioned or a Frozen John Daly (Arnold Palmer with Bourbon).

You won’t find rowdy bachelorette parties here. Truly a hidden gem, at Calais Winery outside of Hye you will find owner and French winemaker, Benjamin Calais, in a cave-style tasting room dug into the side of the hill serving up traditional french-style made wines with 100% Texas grapes.
